Blackwell gpus

Would they though? Wouldn't Nvidia just rebadge the same GPU's and sell them to datacentre/AI etc clients for even more money? I really get the impression that they don't give two hoots about gaming cards, because each one sold as a gaming GPU is missed revenue to the unquenchable demand from datacentres/AI
This is my concern as well. Whilst I agree with the concept of supply and demand, you have the issue of the demand from the AI market, which means NVDIA doesn't need to put all of their eggs in the graphics market, supply-wise. The demand from AI means that if the gamers won't buy then the AI market will.

They can sell 4090's with 24GB extra memory, call it an RTX6000 and sell it for £6000+, if push came to shove I highly doubt they'd have any issue just rebadging all their gaming cards, give em a little more memory and charge thousands more per card to AI companies and data centres.

This is the point I'm getting at.

While yes the statement for lowering prices by refusing to buy a product and thus demand, can be in fact correct, it only really applies to items with a single purpose/don't have other markets.

If GPU's only purpose was gaming, and they couldn't do anything else, then voting with your wallet would work in lowering prices, but they aren't, they are multi purpose/market, and the other market for them will pay far more than any gamer would pay for the exact same chips.

Did you run out of fingers? :p
You're right, the lack of accuracy completely negates the point of my post (but yes, despite being from East Anglia I do only have 20 fingers, the average here is about 23). Allow me to update;

Is there an updated list? It's a great resource but the OP is 21 years, 18 days (252 months, 18 days or 7689 days) at the time of posting old.

:)

i think 6000 is where the market ceases to exist, thats exactly the upper limit of mass produced gaming gpus.. going to be exciting next few years

I've been using the same EVGA Supernova 1000w for eight years now. Extraordinarily solid PSU.

Since it's too old to have a 12VHPWR connector, I used a 4-to-1 12VHPWr adapter with my 4090 -- works great.
EVGA 1600W G2 here and it is very good, at least 8 years old and comes with a 10 year guarantee too! Hopefully it will be still powering 5090, 6090, 7090 in days to come.

Can't wait to see all the different brands designs.

Anyone getting a 5080/5090 are you loyal to a board partner or flexible? I'm leaning to the fe but MSI and Asus usually have great designs/components. I do like the leaked Gaming Trio design already.
ASUS always seem to be £150-£300 overpriced with their GPUs but I love my MSI Suprim X. Not sure how well the FE cooler works compared to aftermarket designs. Historically the FE coolers have been decent but not exceptional.

I love how 3.5 slots is on the box like some kind of special feature
