NVIDIA 5000 SERIES

The real question is will they position the 5090 as an easy upsell to the 5080 (like last gen) or price it worlds apart.
No they have learned their lesson.

4080 was close enough to the 4090 that people willing to spend £1,200 on a GPU just said screw it get the top one for £1,600. Then they had to reduce the 4080 Super to £1k.

The lesson they have learned is not to reduce the 5080 price, but to raise the 5090 price enough so people won't say "screw it" anymore.

£1,300 and £2,200 I'm thinking.

It would be a complex mathematical equation though, because although you are making more money per unit on the halo sku, you are pushing a large majority to stay on the second best sku.

**** no, im looking forward to reading about it tomorrow morning tho.
That's my plan... though I have this horrible (and irrational) fear that Jensen will do a Sega Saturn and say "The 5090 - on sale now" and by the time I wake up there'll be a six month queue to buy one.
