DLSS 4 isn’t locked just the frame gen X3 feature that gives you 3 fake frames for each real frame, no loss for me as I don’t like or use FG anyway, the good news is the other stuff in DLSS4 are included for 40 series.

Scan down to near the end, the section on Nvidia App DLSS Override looks pretty interesting
Ironically while dlss3 frame generation uses a hardware optical flow pipeline, dlss4 frame Gen uses a software AI model
This means in all likelihood, dlss4 with the 4x multi frame generation can run on RTX4000 and 3000 GPUs but Nvidia blocks it in software. There is no new hardware on the RTX5000 GPUs that restricts 4x frame generation to only the new cards, it's purely Nvidia greed
How long will it take for modders to mod the dlss files to unlock 4x frame Gen for all RTX cards?

I can remember a few years ago ppl bought 2080ti's for around 1400 quid, people were outraged over the new RTX20 series prices vs the previous 1080 prices
When the 3080 was announced at around 750 quid? and Nvidia stating 3070 was more powerful than a 2080ti ppl was
and asked if nvidia can buy back 2080Ti's so people can get the 3080ti without making a huge loss
I think it looks like its the same situation with the 5070 over the 4090 unless Nvidia is pulling a fast one, using fancy tech words its almost like they want the 40 series to be obsolete.

28fps at 4K native with path tracing and everything on max in Cyberpunk is like....really good isn't it?
I’m sure the 4090 gets about 18 fps so it sounds like a good improvement to me.

5090 has a huge memory bandwidth advantage over the 4090 so there'll be some scenarios where it'll pull a big lead.

Pics of AIB models show the 12v connector, presumably the newer 12v-6x2. As for the splitter I don't think that's confirmed but I'd guess so.

Good news is most of the DLSS features are being back ported.
Yeah I checked the website it includes the splitter too, hoping my cable mod cable still works with this series, don't want to have to lug out extra pcie cables from storage
