Anyone getting one?

Just got the 5080 one myself and am blown away by the performance.
My last laptop was a legion 5 pro 3070 and i was nervous going back to a laptop as that thing was insanely loud.

The blade is a different animal altogether, very refined and surprisingly quiet, very slim and small but quite heavy.

I'm using the Legion 5i (non pro) with 3070. I don't think it's that loud! Only when gaming and i have a headset on for that so never hear it!

I've had/got a couple of different laptops with the 3070 (full power) and they aren't that noisy BUT similar to what you are saying about the Blade though they are slim and small (15") they are really heavy for what they are - so probably a significant chunk of copper in there to keep noise down.

Yeh the vapour chamber in the blade seems to be working well.

I think the issue with the Blade Vs other laptops is historically they haven't been giving the GPU the full juice it can take.

They prioritise noise over performance

I’m in the market for a laptop soon and the 16” blade 5090 definitely on my list. It ticks all my boxes for what I want. I like the fact it’s not the quickest out there but it runs nice and cool.

I was a little concerned about the warranty length as it’s listed 1 year on the laptop, 2 years on the battery. Even on the Overclockers website it says 1 year when by law it has to be 2 as a Razer rep told me.

In the UK, the standard guarantee period for electrical goods is 2 years, as mandated by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. This means that if a product develops a fault within that time, the retailer is required to provide a repair or replacement. However, this is a minimum requirement, and manufacturers or retailers may offer longer warranties or guarantees.

Yeh the 1 year warranty is a worrie tbh.

I went for the 5080 as its the same chip as 5090 but less cores so my thinking was it will run cooler for very little performance drop.
Just Ordered the cooling pad to try out.

No need to worry if your in the UK by law you have 2 years warranty.

With the cooling pad you get a boost on the gpu to run at 175w as well as being cooler.

Yeh so I've herd, I will be running at a low speed tho so I'm not sure how much it will boost by but looking forward to having a play with it.

Playing recent games with the 188ppi is insanely crisp.

So the Blade 16 5090 is a lovely machine

BUT there are touchpad issues with some of them (check reddit)

I've just sent mine back for an exchange with Overclockers

I got the 5080 model. I like how it doesn't look like a gaming laptop. Ppl are reporting that the trackpad and the synapse software has issues, but touch wood Im ok so far.

One niggle is running on battery it only allows you the option to run on balanced mode. Would like the option to run on silent mode to prolong the battery.

Bought the cooling pad. First thoughts are it's plastic and not made out of aluminium. It's also got a power brick, I was expecting it to get it's power from the Blade.
