They gave me a 600 Hornet as a loaner for my blades service - and had a mini-hoon on the way back! Suprisingly agile bike, needs more grunt obv, but still a fun ride at speeds which dont neccesarily mean jail time!
i have to say that whilst the Hornet was in no way more exhilirating or better than my bike, it might well have been more "fun". Cant explain it, i think its the comparatively higher bars and increased low down manouverability. Made getting back on my bike like get onto a very low, narrow train! That said, i topped the hornet out at 126, and my blade managed that in 2nd without realising!
yeah, i moved from a Twin (SP1 Anniversary Edition) to my blade, and tbh i'll never go back. The SP1 had character, but was so heavy and massively underpowered compared to a modern 1litre IL4. I'm not even convinced they were torquier either tbh just "felt" torquier. Felt the same when i test rode an RC8, so it wasnt an age thing...
