Just wondering before I try and find a copy of this once loved game if it works well on xp/vista. I remember loving it when it first came out and one of the very few movie cash ins that was half reasonable.

So anyone tried it on a newer system?

This is a quote from some random guy on a forum:

I have XP home edition on my laptop and had no problems running the BR game - it's the 4 CD version.

I'm going to try and digout my copy of this and try it as I'm in the mood for some Blade running

My memories on the game are vague, the bits that do stick in my mind was the cyclists cut scene everytime you loaded into one of the areas (animoid row possibly) and some part in the sewer. After that I struggle. And cheers for the help. Going to dig through 4 boxes of junk in the loft for my old copy and if not start shopping.

Hope it's not going to be a let down.

Anybody know the going rate for the game now?

I'm going to hold on to mine as long as possible, as it along with original half-life are the only "box" games i have left :(

I miss the big boxes.

reinstalling now, ain't played this for ages - superb game.

think i only ever saw 3 of the endings, aren't there 11 or something?

All I remember about that game is a guy saying 'zip man, try me later'

For some reason in secondary school everytime I saw a guy a knew who also had the game, I just said 'zip man try me later' to him instead of making conversation. Hehe.

My friend had this and was rocking. I've been meaning to track it down for ages. Thanks for the reminder- might have to finally make the effort ;)

haha this was the first PC game I ever ran on my first PC, a P1 233Mhz with a Monster 3D card (that actually linked to the 2D graphics card via a cable). What a let down the game was back then! Christmas day all excited, with having my first PC and coming from an Atari ST and faced with a not very amazing point and click game! Prob not the best of games to play to wanna jump into the action, but still disappointing to me.

Thankfully a demo of a flight sim and dance ejay from a mag saved my christmas day!

For me Turok was the first game I played on a PC that wow'ed

I couldn't get this to install on Vista, however a copy of the installed files I kept from when I installed it on XP worked fine. It's best played with all the CDs copied to the game folder and an appropriately fixed executable.
