So I guess you could argue that he has since learned the tale was wrong, and he's now referencing a more correct version, but it's fairly reasonable to assume he's talking about the same thing he referenced last year.

Two points.

Mixing up the number of states visted is vastly different to Tumps pigs blood comment, and also vastly different to the assassination comment. The first comment is a completely inane comment and mistake, the last two are both offensive for various reasons and far more comparable.

Secondly, with Trump it's not just a single comment is it? It's a consistent trade of ***** both in person and on twitter.
