I suppose it's a fairly straight forward conclusion if you truly believe that the majority there were infact Neo-Nazi's rather than just people with conservative views who don't like historic statues being taken down due to fear of offending people.

It wasn't a historical statue, it was built in the 20th century. It wasn't taken down for fear of offending people but because it had become a shrine for neo-nazis.

It's being moved because black people wanted it moved because they found it offensive after the 2015 church shootings. It's a wild exaggeration to say it's a shrine to Neo Nazi's. What people don't understand is that by removing things like this all you do is make regular people with conservative views turn out in support of the genuinely racist groups like the KKK. Then you're shocked when people like Donald Trump are elected. Same thing in the UK with Brexit, cover up the child abuse for fear of sounding racist, shocked when UKIP gains considerable support and people vote for Brexit because of immigration fears.

Anyone who thinks it's fine to share a side with the KKK (and the neo Nazis) rather than turning around and taking themselves off back home, needs a serious think about their own values.

Well ok yeah that was worded poorly, I don't think ordinary people are going to turn out to support the KKK, but they'll definitely turn out to rallys and right wing groups will gain more support than they otherwise would've.

Confederate statues were built in the 20th century to remind black people of their place in society. A lot of them (though not this one) were built after WWII when states came under pressure to repeal Jim Crow laws. They were erected as an act of defiance.

Any historical significance they have is around why they were built rather than the American Civil War.

Can't believe 10 pages back or so, people were practically defending that guy for "legally" obtaining a permit to allow him and his supporters to "have their say" which was apparently fine.

Now you see his true colours coming out
