No, not right. They have just as much right to be there as anyone. More so actually, as it's their heritage that is being airbrushed from history to appease whining **********.

It's amazing how many people are defending the Nazis, and not just right wingers mis-labelled as Nazis, real live Nazis brazenly walking down the street! their grandfather's would be turning in their graves if they could see them now
I don't find it funny at all. In fact, I find it quite astonishing that a large number of people in this thread seem to think there's legitimacy for a bunch of people walking around with neo nazi symbols, white supremacy symbols shouting racial slurs at coloured and jewish people. Last time I checked, there is nothing "legal" about that.
millions of people died defeating the son of a ***** who started this whole absurd movement - I doubt they would find it very amusing either. They took up arms against this before, and anyone with any ounce of integrity would do so again.

This thread should be about the wider issues of the event - there is little to be gained focusing on the unfortunate incident (and I say this from the perspective of it being a tragedy she died not to try and be dismissive of the circumstances of it) with the girl and whatever reasoning she was there and the merits of it or otherwise.

People are entitled to hold whatever views and opinions they like.
So long as they don't break the law, nobody has a right to threaten them with or actually use physical violence against them, purely for their beliefs.
Generally our laws are sufficient to prevent abuse or oppression of people, so as long as these Nazis aren't breaking the law, we can be confident they aren't causing harm to anyone else.
Of course somebody will say they cause offence and harm simply by existing, but that's a terrible argument.

And it's nothing to do with erasing their history, history will always remember what the nazi's did.

They want to remove a statue because their is a prevailing group think amongst the left that Confederate flags, statues and whatever else is racist.
They attribute Confederates to slave owners, conveniently ignoring that there were plenty of slave owners in the Unionist side also.
In fact Lincoln gave dispensation to some Union states to keep hold of their slaves. The Act of Emancipation had NOTHING to do with human rights and freeing slaves. It was always about getting the economies of Confederate states and bringing about their demise, this winning the war.
Lincoln himself stated that if he could have won the war without freeing the slaves then he would not have freed them.
The statue of General Lee and the Confederate flag is a vital part of American history, especially in the south. Removing them and suggesting that they are the equivalent of a swastika is a disgusting and underhanded tactic.
In this country it would be the equivalent of eradicating all Celtic history and artifacts on the grounds of some perceived grievance.

Calling someone a Nazi is applying an "emotional" label to them (as much as you may disagree) because it allows someone to treat those people (who, as distasteful as it is, were protesting legally) as a legitimate target for violence. Just like a "Nazi" feels like he can beating someone he calls a "Liberal *********".
What applying labels really does is make it easier to apply violence i.e. "hey, it OK to beat these people up because they think differently", it's a tool of division not unity. So it's pretty dire when people on both sides believe it is perfectly acceptable to apply violence to a fellow human because of a label they've given them.
Thats why when you take these "emotional" labels away and look at the facts alone it's much easier to see it's just two sets of violent people fighting with both claiming the moral high ground when neither violent person has it, rather than a dignified event which would show the true power of a non-violent counter protest - making people think their choices through and realising just how stupid they are - because now each side is further entrenched in hatred of each other, making the situation that much worse for everyone.
However that's just my take on things and yours maybe different.

You seem confused and you haven't read my post. They are labelling themselves as nazis and parading the swastika around.
People were not "labelling" these people as nazis. They were quite obviously identifying themselves as nazis.
