The problem here is the Media have tried to make out that Trump said Nazi are OK ! He 100% Did not say anything on them lines at all ! was all blown out of context and now look we have celebrities joining in and twisting the story even more , Trump made it very clear he hates the evil KKK and racist groups , !that should be the end off it.

I must have missed that memo! Mind you, he did dress his army up in fancy clothes so he couldn't have been that bad. The chap had an eye for fashion and art.

I've been doing some reading into the statue. The statue is being removed, not destroyed, and this decision was taken after a vote.

The statue isn't even a contemporary of the war. It was built in the 20th century, 54 years after the death of Robert E. Lee. It's the equivalent of us sticking up a statue of a Vietnam War general like William Westmoreland now. It has little historical value.

Baltimore has taken down its Confederate statues in the last couple of days. They were all built in the post-WWII era and Maryland never joined the Confederate states. The statues were erected for political reasons rather than to remember the past.

Not that I think that the demonstration was ever about the statue anyway.
