its only a problem for people that dont like it, why does it matter where someone is from?, judge people by their actions.
this to be honest

it matters not to me who or where people are from

I have been in many situations where I have been the odd bloke in the crowd ( a spectacular day in houston where we had to stop at a church barbecue to ask directions and they invited us to stay for food...and I must have been the whitest guy they had ever seen! I get sunburn when I open the fridge door and glow in moonlight..but it was an superb time!)

I love shopping at our local asian supermarket..you can get goat from their butchers counter!! and all the spices you would ever need for a myriad of cooking...snake beans and pea aubergines...my local asda will likely never stock them!!

but then I am not threatened by foreign things and embrace it all

It's not about where they're from, it's differences in culture and communication.

It's annoying when you can't understand what people around you are saying, or if you want to order something in a shop and struggle to communicate with them in English. It's not that you don't like the person, but it is annoying.

There are foreign shops opening up, but they replaced whatever shops were there before, generally because the change in local population means the foreign shop is in demand and the previous shop isn't. But if you liked the previous shop and don't really want foreign food - that's annoying. It's not that you don't like the people, but it is annoying.

My general point is that it's not really about identity, just stuff that makes day-to-day life a little harder.

It's also annoying when people tell you diversity is categorically good, but I've just set out some examples where it isn't good. So it isn't categorically good, there are tradeoffs.

Immigration causes lots of divide in communities ! I only have to look in my local paper courts section to see lists of foreign nationals causing crimes in my town and area. drinking on the streets and causing issues for residents , I can assure you a hell of a lot of people are not happy about it, might explain why so so many people voted to leave EU - People are not happy. I don't see what the issue is with screening foreign nationals , look at that bloke from Italy last years who was let in after being released from prison he murdered his wife and then he come to the uk too live and then murdered someone else . shocking.

We use to have 1 continental shop in my local town ! Guess what ? we now have 10 ! you walk too your'e shopping centre at the weekend and everyone is speaking a different language , my point is from a young age I grow up with not one single foreigner in my school class ! we had maybe 2 coloured people in the whole school of over 300 people , as I got older over the years its changed very very fast , don't get me wrong I have no issues with it , but I do find it very odd and I do feel unconformable sometimes when shopping. I will always believe that everyone foreign national should be screened thou if they choose to live here.

I love how a thread about Nazis have devolved into discussion of Brexit.

What would you call this? A reverse Godwin?

London has to be the most changed out the lot thou ! If anyone ever asks for my advice about places to visit I tell them not to go to London ! lets be honest its far far from being British ! The queen yes but everything else is Foreign

how would screening change there being 10 continental supermarkets or people speaking in different languages? and you do have an issue with it you have stated so in the same post as saying you dont.

The issue is the fact so many people have moved here and its different ! very different living in a community with just British people. I love the Polish and have never had any issues myself with any foreigner , Like i said it just feels very odd walking about a town that once had a poppulation of 30K and over the past 15 years has jumped to over 60K ! mostly immigrants.

HaHa old enough to notice how much my childhood has changed ! A lot of older people voted for Brexit and very understandable when you look at where we all come from , I also get the younger generations views because lets be honest they go to schools and work with foreigners now a days so obviously its not a change for them ! Truth is we have a big divide here.
