Is your motherboard the abit ip35-e? As there is not a abit ip353 motherboard, if you tell me what it is I will be able to find a photo of it and circle using paint what the connection is I'm talking about exactly.
Edit: Looking at the IP35-E there is a 8 pin hole where I'm talking about in the top left next to your cooler, stick one of those cables into that - they have little shapes on the end of the leads, so they can only go in one way - don't force them in, prepare it and make sure you get it right before you do anything

No problem my friend, I had the exact same problem - I did it with my father's build not so long ago, really easy yet simple mistake to make!
