What do you guys use to play it? I have never really played a fighting game on the PC but it was cheap at my local store so i decided to pick it up for the PC since it looked good on the PS3+Xbox

I dont have an xbox but i do have a ps3, is there a was to connect the ps3 controller and play it with that? or is there a better option?

tai ^^

Yep use a program called XPadder. Goggle the free version or buy it to support the programmer. It allows any PC connected gamepad to be fully customised.

Blazblue is a terrific game I bought it last week for only £11.86. Also has free to play cross platform versus X360 players. Its like an enhanced version of Street Fighter 4 but the gfx are so much better & it has all the usual quirky Japanese storytelling & superb artwork.

Well worth buying & the cross platform play makes it last even longer.

Enhanced version of Street Fighter IV? They play totally, totally, totally different!

Graphics are debateable really, it has a very nice art style though but I think some of the new stages in Super Street Fighter IV look a lot better than any of those in BlazBlue.

"Enhanced version of Guilty Gear XX" would be the correct words as they are both by Arc System Works.

Shame it took this long for the PC to get a version of Calamity Trigger seeing as Continuum Shift is out, but hey, at least it is good that the PC gets more fighting games. Guilty Gear XX had a PC version before as well. And unlike Street Fighter IV, the cross-compatible play with Xbox 360 players is a bonus.

Comparing graphics is subjective as it is 2D artwork vs 3D graphics. But both look great in their own respective ways.

As for controllers, you can use a PS3 gamepad on the PC via bluebooth/USB cable, though you will have to get some drivers for it. I never really bothered to try it out myself, but a simple Google search will lead you somewhere.

I personally use a Sega Saturn USB pad or a PS2 pad via USB converter.

I too have a PS3 and a PC. Save yourself the time setting up each game and just get an Xbox360 pad. Plug in, load game, see the nice onscreen buttons/icons. I don't think I've ever set a game up for it, they just work as an xbox would.

My SE stick works fine in BBCT PC, and it's a PS3 stick.

Gamertag is SergeantDull if anyone wants to fight with someone relatively new to Blazblue but has been playing Guilty Gear for 7 years :)

Edit: Mind you, been playing Guilty Gear on the PC for years with a keyboard. Really depends how smooth the keys register. My stick is on loan to a mate at the moment.

Its a bit confusing the game compared to sf4, i mean i grew up on sf2 so i know the characters and the moves. But this game i know nothing about em which means i dont care which pick and i know absolutly no moves which i guess i should google to find out about em as i just randomly do all sorts of crap to find moves and i never remember the moves lol as they have far too many to remember.

Any tips with playing this to get into it more?

Btw dont touch story mode, it takes bloomin ages to go through the text for it, it felt never ending so i just quit lol.

Well BlazBlue (And Guilty Gear XX before it), is much more technical than say Street Fighter, so it's kind of like the "Virtua Fighter" of 2D fighting games.

For beginners, the most easiest characters to use would probably be Jin Kisaragi or Noel Vermillion.

During story mode, press Esc, set the text speed to instant or very fast. Hit Enter to skip through text.

For beginners, I suggest hitting up Training mode looking at move lists, and staying away from Litchi, Tager, Carl, Arakune, Hakumen and v-13.

So you'd probably go for Jin, Noel, Bang or Ragna.

I play as Ragna because I've played as Sol for 7 years. No they're nothing alike but they're close enough.

Also Taokaka and Jin are cheap as poo.
