Hey again all,

Firstly, sorry for yet another spec me thread, but been looking and looking and jut cant decide on things myself.

Posted a few weeks back asking for an all singing all dancing mega build for a budget of £1500, which was all well and good until I decided to get a new job which involves me working away 90% of the time, and can't really lug something that big around from hotel to hotel, so instead decided to go for a gaming laptop, but, that defeats the whole point of spending my dosh to build something. So that idea also got binned.

So the challenge is: A spec that is portable, wont be angry at me moving it around every 3 or 4 days, small enough to fit in a suitcase wrapped in clothes and a box along with other stuff, high settings BF4 powerful and £1000 tops. Something the size of an alienware x51 maybe. Need everything apart from Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor.

Thanks in advance :)

Are you going to be taking everything with you? Keyboard, monitor etc? Because that doesn't seem like a viable option to me.

I think you're stuck with a gaming laptop.

I think despite the hotel room tv idea, anything other than a gaming laptop is going to be wildly impractical. I've worked in a similar capacity and could'nt imagine lugging a full desktop around would be viable. You may not want to go for one but surely a laptop is your only truly viable option. The risk of wear and tear on a desktop that gets lugged around a lot has to be very high.

Just saw the reply

YOUR BASKET
1 x msi gs60 2pe ghost pro 15.6" true hd led gtx 870m 3gb 4700hq, 16gb ddr3, super-raid, 1tb hdd - windows 8.1 £1499.99
total : £1,509.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

prettyyyyy!

i was going to post the same thing. seems silly lugging a pc around everywhere. what if a hotel still uses crt screens? in newquay, they're still advertising hotels having 'colour tv'.

op, buy yourself a sick laptop. that one above is your original budget and can play most current games on high - ultra settings.

Not to mention how much easier it would be to bang one out on, compared to having to move your PC around and stretch the HDMI and mouse cable so you can reach it from the bed (unless of course you'll be carrying a Wireless mouse).

Haha, I never thought of the logistical nightmare a small desktop could have, in regards to banging one out! Sold! Laptop it is!

On another note, anyone know when the next gen intels are due? If its any less than 5 months, I will put my proper build on hold. Planning on building it in 3 months time as have 2 weeks off :)

Cheers for the persuasion all
