Hey, i currently have

Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2
Intel Core 2 Duo E2140
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C5
PowerColor ATI Radeon X1950 XT

and i want a new motherboard. What Board would you suggest i purchase? My current board seems a bit limited in the overclocking and i cant seem to get the memory to the right speed.

Help me out:)

Asus P5K - £70
MSI Neo FR - £70?
Abit IP35 - £70ish?

Personally that would be my top 3 in order, for the best all-round ranges. I know for a fact the first 2 are outstanding.

Asus P5K Pro looks promising, any big reason to get the other models of this board? i dont need wifi.

*edit* I just found a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 iP35 for £99 delivered. Is this a better board/deal?

Like guy said above, P5KC, supports DDR2 AND DDR3! If you don't need wi-fi, or the useless extra gubbins my board has got, the P5KC would be my personal choice (only reason i didn't was because of wi-fi, which is awesome, so much better than USB crap). It's like £75 and blue with cool heatpipes!

Lol and just realised the title of this thread could be so misread:

"You've been blinded by choice? why man? why would you do that?!"

do you want more than one gfx card slot? (pci-express)

if not, get the gigabyte ds3r, can't fault mine :)

Na i dont need 2x pcie slots but some future proofing seems like a clever step to take. Although i guess ddr3 is really uneeded for a few years.
