Right, got fed up with the old setup as it was getting old and manky.

2x new monitors, new monitor arm, chair, mouse, gigabit on the way and a few other bits done. The cables will all be tidied up once I've got all the leftover bits in place.

I can't use my speakers anymore as they're too big for my new setup.

I need the below:

  • "Gaming surface" or whatever they're called nowadays. Not that silly fabric stuff that peels after a few months, something tough and sexy AF.
  • New keyboard - not mechanical, the incessant clicking drives me nuts, which is why I'm currently typing on a cheapo Logitech jobbie whilst my Corsair K70 is in the cupboard.
  • Speakers / soundbar, I'm not after anything too spectacular as it's mainly for Youtube videos and the odd drunken song sesh.
  • Backlights for the monitors, again nothing too spectacular, but the ability to light up the wall a bit more would be nice.
  • Headphone stand, I tend to keep my cans in the gap between my drawers and desk, but if I can find something decent, I'll use it.
  • Phone stand, preferrably with wireless charging.
  • Any other suggestions to make this less prison-cell and more @JonRGV250 :D

Of course I will be cracking open a beer shortly and hopping on the relevant sites so who knows, post something ridiculous and I might just do it :D

GO!

Solid wood DIY desk (if a massive retard like me can do it anyone can).
Cheap Amazon LED strip lights on the back of the monitors, mouse mat/s, gaming pictures, RGB wall lights from Aliexpress, all for much cheapness.
Soundblaster soundbars are pretty decent and have RGB, so much so I have 2 of them.
Cheapish headphone stand from Amazon..

I'd carry on, but I'd be just describing my set up (sorry)..

For me the gaming posters make the most difference, and you can get pretty much anything of any game you've got fond memories of from Ebay/Aliexpress for small change.
It gives the set up a bit of character and it's just a nice place to sit, reminisce and forget about the ****show that is life :)
Or *cough* buy a bigger motorcycle.

OCUK large mouse mat is solid option.
Get a mechanical keyboard with silent switches - I work and game on a Corsair Strafe RGB keyboard and it's been excellent

GO!

I hate to see what it was like before... lol.. ;)

We already have a desktop thread... no?

I need to invest in some monitor lights, and maybe a screen filter for one of my monitors just to protect it as I keep scratching it with my laptop screen.
