Blizzard Deleting WoW Accounts?

Hi guys, have Blizzard deleted accounts that have brought gold? I know its bad m'kay but i was desperate and now i find i have lost my lvl 30 Warlock account and my 60 Warlock account?! I was meant to ask this a couple of weeks ago but i forgot! I can still log in but my characters are gone!
 
sounds like your account has been hacked chap.

blizzard don't do anything to your chars or accounts without telling you in official email.
 
You've been hacked, all your equipment has probably been sold for gold and emailed away then your characters deleted.

You better email Blizzard asap for them to recover your character, you might get a naked character back though.
 
Unlikely to be a hack as a result of buying gold which is normally mailed or traded. More likely if you have paid someone in the past to level your characters or something or given out the account details.

If you can still log in, message a GM they'll sort it out but don't expect to get everything back as you've waited 2 weeks without doing anything...
 
A lot of gold seller sites have the option to give them your account info so that they will put the gold on it for you at a certain time. They say its their quickest method (probably true), but definitely not the safest.

Ticket a GM and explain your situation to him. The GM should investigate to you and sometimes investigations can take a few days so just sit tight.

I wouldn't advise that you tell the GM that you've bought gold though.. lol, just tell him that you think you've had a keylogged and been hacked in the process.
 
I was pretty unlucky and my account was hacked two weeks ago. I'd only just resubbed to the game after a long break to Everquest so that just made it worse. No idea how they did it but they wiped all my items and gold but left the character.

The GM to his credit answered pretty much as soon as I sent in the petition and locked the account down, once I'd sent my details in to prove I was the owner I got it back but been waiting since for my stuff back. Life without a mount just isn't worth living :)

Absolutely no idea how they got my account details as like I said, fresh back to the game with new passwords on the account. PC is locked down pretty tightly and I use different passwords for every site/MMO. Very puzzling
 
Same thing happened - without the gold buying - got hacked somehow - I'm guessing through a mod. Ticketed, waited. Had to reticket. Did so, waited for hours. Finally speak to a GM who asks me to list everything missing, unfortunately I don't keep a seperate inventory of all my equipment and bank stuff - so I named a couple and basically said, all my equipped and bag stuff was gone and a few items from storage - and it was true.

Got escalated, and eventually my account was locked while they investigate. The morons at Blizzard reset my password, sent me some 'keep-your-password-secure' crap email they send to everyone, unlock my account and did nothing.

Utterly disappointed with Blizzard. Bunch of morons.
 
I laughed long and hard. Suck it up and learn from it. And as for Gackt, yeah, Blizzard are a bunch of morons for not securing your PC for you.

Lol, it's not that. I'm quite well aware that it was something that I had accidentally done - be it install a loaded mod or something else. What they are morons for are cutting me out of the game for a week only to change the password which to be honest, I could have done myself. They screwed me out of a week's playtime and pretended to help. That's why they're morons.

But of course, misery is very amusing. Especially for people like you.

Well I was about to say fair enough, until I read the last line. Misery doesn't amuse me, gross stupidity does though.
 
This probably has very little to do with buying gold. Most gold sellers want your repeat business so would be unlikely to go around hacking accounts, plus they can mail you the gold so why would they need your account details. Just to remind everyone though - never give out your account details to anyone.
