Finally got the VPN to work from our Windows 2012 R2 server, but now have the following small issue.
I want to be able to view the contents of a shared network drive only via the VPN connection when it's connected. This currently now works fine.
Problem is I can put in the servers public IP address into windows explorer and it pops up asking for a username and password which if I supply valid credentials it will let me access the share no problem. I want to block this from even asking for the username and password so only via the VPN it is accessible.
I've already set the File and Printer sharing to disabled for public networks everywhere I can see, and only left the Private settings enabled but this hasn't yet stopped the public access.
This is on a hosted server so I've not got access to any external firewall beyond the server itself.
