I bought this phone from a reliable company off of ebay, but I'm not sure whether it's is blocked or not. As with a blocked phone, it doesn't receive or send calls and texts, and only uses mobile internet, but when I typed the IMEI number into the T-mobile IMEI status check, it returned a message saying that the phone was not reported stolen or lost...

It is locked to EE, (or rather Orange, but both T-mobile and Orange sims work), and I am using a T-mobile sim.

Best way to find out is ring customer service and explain that you think it maybe blocked and they will do a check. Well that's what O2 did for me

If the phone was originally purchased from EE directly then both T-Mobile and Orange sim will work.

If the phone was originally purchased from a third party (P4U, carphone etc), even though people are still marketing it as locked to EE, it will only be locked to T-Mobile or Orange.

Also typically EE and T-Mobile SIM cards are interchangeable. Orange are a completely different network in terms of sim lock.

So it is possible the phone may just still be sim locked to Orange.
