Blocking a device with sky BB

Not possible with current Sky router. You'd need to buy a compatible aftermarket router with the ability to block by MAC address.

Seems like this a topic better suited for the 'Networks & Internet Connectivity' section.
It will depend what router you have - so what router do you have?

With MikroTik it looks like this:

Why not just tell the 11 year when they can, and cannot, use the internet? If that doesn't work then take away their devices until they do as they're told.
That what my friend did to her son in order for him to revise for GCSEs. As he would just played online battle games

This is a parenting problem, not a software/hardware problem. How long do you think your solution will work for? Hint: About as long as it takes them to spoof a new MAC (privacy feature in iOS), tether via 4/5G or add an AP or other device capable of re-sharing the network.

Tbh that sounds like a perk to the proposed solution. I learnt so much by being frustrated we had a USB modem that I had to share with my brother on his computer, that I learnt how to configure an ad-hoc wireless network with my laptop as the access point. That led onto a successful career as a CCNP.
