I do believe if you use Firefox www.getfirefox.com there are lots of blocking ad-ons you can install for it from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

edit: like this for example https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4351 -

FoxFilter is a personal content filter that helps prevent stumbling onto inappropriate content and block access to specific content and Web sites. FoxFilter also includes password-protected security features to change settings, access Tools/Add-ons and access "about:config".

MORE INFO: http://inspiredeffect.com/FoxFilter

Keywords: content filter, adult content, parental control, porn filter, block site

Folks content advisor is part of ie and can be set to block out these types of sites, you can even go so far as block everything but the sites you want youe child to view, make them as favorites and password it so they need to come and ask you to unlock genuine sites that arnt on the list.

If the person knows about PC's though, they could take out the BIOS battery and reset it back to default :D sorry had to be said, dont mind me I will get my coat :/

So to summarise, the options are:

1. Install Firefox, then install extensions, then uninstall IE, then make the user a limited account, then password protect bios, then disable boot from cd and then, finally, weld the case shut so the battery can't be removed :p

or

2. Install K9 web protection. Which considering it's free is an excellent product.

No brainer tbh.

Or, read post 13 and not install or try anything thats not alredy on your pc.

Just have no filter. If they really want to look at adult content they'll find away eventually. They could simply google there problem or ask on a fourm like this and probably find the answer.
