Blocking YouTube channels ?

Hey GD

Not sure if title is right, but is it possible to block certain channels on YouTube. On our Smart TV my son watches the standard fayre kids watch. However, there are a few exceptions that I am not entirely comfortable with him watching. Is there any way that I can stop them coming up in search?

Plus it depends on what the channel is actually showing, i.e. bad language etc is normally well filtered but some of the other "poor taste" channels which have adults dubbed over kids cartoons talking about pee/poop partys and violence etc aren't always caught - https://www.usatoday.com/story/tech...lters-designed-keep-out-teens-kids/922511001/

It's not actually bad language thats the issue. He watches one of the channels where the kids are constantly getting gifts, going on shopping spree's in London at a young age, giving his younger brother an Iphone X etc. I know you can't protect your kids from the world but it's painting a world that is based on utter greed and is completely false.

Ah, in that case you know your kid best but I would consider having a talk to your kid if they're old enough to understand "rich/Poor" etc, explaining that what they see in these videos isn't "normal" for 99.9% of us and just have a discussion so they're aware of the facts, a bit like a birds and bees chat only about rich kids being spoiled

Yep we had that discussion, He's 9 and we talked that this isn't real life, you dont just get sent Iphones and all the latest gadgets etc. He understands that. I guess I'd still like to filter it out but hey, thanks for all the responses people
