[Destination]

The current Netflix Marylin Monroe film.

I found this a very tough watch.
It was rather dire in content, exceptionally well-acted and morphic in how they transitioned from the actress portraying a role to the camera zoom incorporating the rest, and the subsequent actions.
I honestly have no idea how to rate it, except to say I think it is worth watching, but likely not rewatching.
It makes you uneasy, and I suppose this is thought provoking, after a fashion.

How did everyone else find it?

I enjoyed it considering it wasn't told in the traditional biopic way. Performances were very good and the cinematography was great.

Not sure why it was rated NC-17 (adults only) in the USA and the first for a streaming service, apparently.

As opposed to R? As in 18?
Or would you have rated it lower?
Pretty sure chikd trauma, child abuse, rape, sexual aggression etc all pushed it up.

Aye indeed. I didn't realise their r was 15. Thought it was other way round.
It was filmed in such a way as to make your mind fill in the blanks. I thought it was exceptional well made and filmed, but ultimately disturbing.
