FOUND HIM!

OT: Hes doing his job? Too right n' all, that'l teach 'um for speeding.

Yeah but then we might aswell limit all our cars to 70MPH or have a GT-R type GPS system that limits our speed in certain locations so that it is impossible to speed?!

I wouldn't be surprised if this was introduced in the not too distant future!

I think thats a bit of an over-reaction. I don't find it difficult to keep my speed around the legal limit with casual glances at the speedo. There is a case for speed limited cars, but its another thread entirely.

The 31mph thing is of course down to the discression of the court/officer involved, but from the OP's rant, I got the impression that a hidden cop catching a guy doing 70mph through a 20 zone outside of a school was as much 'Bloody Scum' as one who caught someone doing 31mph in a 30.

Voluntary system of limiting your car to 100mph which results in a 50% reduction in insurance cost.

Would sound good to me for anyone who drives a car simply as a mode of transport.

But like I said, this is a whole different thread which has been discussed on here already.

I don't speed along there? OK the limit could be higher but it's not exactly for long. And what about all the driveways that open out onto the road?

There was a copper out in front of the European school on the same road the other day. Catching people both ways slowing out of the nation speed limit into a 30.

I get annoyed with people sitting on my bumper trying to make me go faster when I know there could be a policeman sitting there and unlike the one in the OP he doesn't exactly hide.

The 30 goes on for ages all the way through Burcot! Its ridiculous. Next time you see a black SL500 flying past you down there give me a wave :p
