bloody wireless... pls help :(

i have a sony vaio laptop here using an intel proset 3945abg wireless lan card thats goine blind... the bubble pops up telling me its found wireless networks but when you go to view them all it says is "no wireless networks were found in range" which just isnt correct.

the radios on, ive reinstalled the drivers after removing it, both with and without the intel proset software. im just drawing a blank for what it could be...
