Bloody word - inserting images

I really hate word, especially when it comes to pasting in screenshots. I've pasted it in and I'm trying to resize it, but it won't let me!

How the hell do I get free control over what I insert?

View, toolbars, picture toolbar

Wrapping, Square or infront of text

Create a text box, then insert the picture in the text box. This will allow you to resize and position your image much easier.
