Blown Corsair Psu

My Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-620HXUK) has just blownup on me desktop Pc (on mums laptop atm).

i had just installed 2gb of geil ram (takin total ram two 4gb) ram was put in right and then i plugged psu power cable in and then switched it on and boom sparks came out of it at the bak

What can i do>? i only got the Psu bak in February and i dnt know y it would blow frm just two xtra ram sticks :confused:

got 8800 gts coming today/tomoz aswell :mad:

Would this also cause damage to other components like motherboard etc?

just send form through corsairs RMA on ther website, so shall see what they say, if RMA accepted would have to send it to Usa? since thts ther base :confused:

if it has taken everything else out (pray it aint) i got all parts for my pc from ocuk and built me self so would have to ram all the other parts? :confused:

When i removed my psu just before ther was something loose :confused:

goin to ship it back to Ocuk today.

Hey ho, been while now but posted the Psu on thursday Ocuk got it on Friday and today got Email saying:-

"The item has been sent back to manufacturer for repair or replacement". "This will be sent on to you as soon as we receive it back."

So hopefully i get new 1 this week and can get back to some gaming and can install me 8800gts just sitting ther teasing me

although only spoken to Yb yesterday (cause not been about to do so other times), great knowing tht thers a tech support dude frm a major companie on here w0o0
