Blown Corsair Psu

Yes, it is the nature of electronics. The only thing I have never had fail in my rig is the case. ;)

Though that is possible . . . The first revision of the 900 had a bit of a clearance problem . . .

Saw this thread and nearly changed the Corsair i had spec'd for my rig. Then read Yellowbeard's post. Any company that takes this much interest in their customers can have my cash. If only there were more like this around.

I think you should be putting in for a pay rise YB :)

agree with scorchiooo ;)

although only spoken to Yb yesterday (cause not been about to do so other times), great knowing tht thers a tech support dude frm a major companie on here w0o0 :D

Pogomonkeh, can you give me a way to contact you directly? I'd like to assist you with your RMA and find out why this PSU failed in this manner.

Thanks, YB.

I'm speccing 2 new machines and have been considering the Corsair 620, this thread has just cemented the choice I think. :) Service above and beyond the call of duty is what wins customer loyalty and return business, well done Corsair/YB. :)

Wow just as I buy the 520W I start to see a couple of people having there Corsair's blow, will this PSU soon have the reputation of my Hiper Type-R?

Nothing to worry about :p there are loads of HX users out there and I've only read of 2 people have a 520 or 620 blow.

My 520 powers a fairly hungry system that's on 24/7 and has never had an issue :)

I remember the Corsair thread on Something awful where I posted a small review when I first got the 520 and was so so excited, YB posted in there with much useful info - today at work I also turned a workmate from buying a Antec PSU to a Corsair one. Another workmate recommended a Thermaltake PSU to him as it was "excellent" :o

I had to tell him otherwise!

My Enermax Liberty 620 blew up this morning and it went off like a nuclear explosion. Spare PSU in and the rest of the PC was fine which surprised me.

I would just like to add, you only hear bad things about things like RMA things etc, but to be honest the ammount of items sold its bound to happen etc.

Corsair are a very Quality Company, they look after their customers. :)
