Made the most stupid mistake yesturday.

My saitek eclipse keyboard (which i only bought 2 months ago) was really dusty and generally unclean, so like with all keyboards i washed it under the tap for a few seconds and dried it out as much as possible.

But this time i think i plugged it in to early. Now when i plug it in all the lights come on but none of the buttons funtion and windows says it doesn't recognise the device.

Will it recover ? will saitek replace it ?

yeh i don't deserve another one, cleaning it under the sink was ok but i was retared to plug it back in after 30 mins :/

i'll take it apart tonight and dry it out 100%. i've e-mailed saitek support and hopefully they will give me an RMA number.

update: i've given the keyboard a good dry out, now when i plug it into the computer it recognises that it's a saitek usb keyboard etc..

and the caps lock lights etc...work properly now. but when i press a key it does the wrong thing, for example i will press "W" and it will write w590udghi0e9- or i press "T" and it brings up windows help.

is this fixable ?

You told them you washed it under the tap, and youve asked for an RMA? . I think that one is heading for file 13 . . .

...no i didn't tell them i washed it under a tap...

update: keyboard fixed. located an allan key and under the membrane, where the contacts are, was all damp, so i dried that out completely and made sure it was lined up with hte buttons. Works like new now.
