Needs more detailed explanation really, such as whether you're watching via the aerial cable or HDMI. However, a couple of quick thought are that the switch-mode power supplies in most bits of consumer gear are pretty dirty, and as they age they really start to kick out a fair bit of interference. This is picked up by poorly shielded aerial coax fly leads and poorly shield HDMI cables. Because the signals flowing through them are digital, and of small amplitude, the interference has the effect of swamping the signal.
If it is that you're watching Freeview, and the connection to the TV is via one of those moulded flyleads, then they're notorious in the trade for this kind of issue. A piece of decent shielded coax and a couple of plugs will cure the problem until the power supply in the Samsung surround kit is ready to crap out completely. Ditto for HDMI cables. Buy something thicker and better shielded.
