blu ray grainy??

i have a blu ray drive i have bought some movies. Training day and a few others work fine. I put in casino royal or the simpsons and it gets like choppy and grainy. Im using power dvd ultra and with the same movies this happens in nero vision. Is there a reason for this? thanks

They're filmed that way you just can't see it on DVDs - there was a thread about it in the HT&HiFi forum a while back.

I don't think he's talking about film grain, also it was mentioned that playback is choppy.

some films they add grain digitally afterwards, to make it look like it's on film.

Unfortunatley some directors seem to live in the past and add grain to films, despite the fact that so many people hate it.
