Just a quick one from me. I've been struggling for over a month now to transfer my HD video footage to Blu Ray. The output has always been jerky/choppy. Through sheer luck i changed to settings on Nero from PAL to NTSC and the output is perfect!

1st question .. i've recorded some sample footage onto Blu Ray in NTSC format and it plays on my LG Blu Ray Player. Why is this? I thought UK players were PAL

Could this maybe have something to do with the aspect ratio of your source files? Nero probably doesn't fully author the BD-R as NTSC

It was probably jerky because of a difference in framerate between the source and output.

Yes PAL is the UK standard, but these days it's not that important. TVs these days support a lot of different signal inputs.

Indeed, what is your source footage?

If its a downloaded TV show/movie its likely to be NTSC and 24p so encoding it in PAL 25P will make it look horrid.

My footage is from a Sanyo Vpc Sh1.Filmed at 1280 x 720 @ 60 fps. I'm starting to think this camera films in NTSC format.
