Im having this very odd occuring problem when i run Blu-Ray movies, i recently bought the Blu-Ray ROM Slot Loading Drive, now there is no issue with the actual quality ( running films at 1080p ,HDMI ,and all that looks execeptional) but for some reason which i cannot fathom is when the films are running there seems to be some interfierence, it is occasional but happens through the whole film that causes pixelation and sometimes even stops the film altogether, this could be due to powerdvd 8 im not entirely sure, Ive tried putting the GPU settings to low and all that but it still keeps happening, it has stopped on one or two occasions but i dont have the time to document every change ive made etc, oh and for the record im using a Intel Dual core, 4GB ram, ATI Radeon HD 4670 (And im using a sound blaster X-FI Extreme audio sound card, although that may be irrelevant), oh and before you ask the cable is fine, Any ideas guys?

Many Thanks!!!

(No **** takers please, any wise assed commenters can move along)

It could be the blu ray drive read errors I had this with my drive ( tho not the same as yours ) and new firmware fixed it and all play fine now

Check that powerdvd is set to use ATI Avivo hardware acceleration, it could be the CPU periodically struggling if there's something happening in the background.

I fixed the problem guys, just had cut down the amount of programs running in the background and set powerdvd to a higher priority!, many many thanks to you all!
