Another spec me thread please ,
but not for gaming on this one!

I am after building myself a Blu-Ray media pc for the living room.
After selling my ps3 a while back im in need of a player for all my BDs.
Can it be done for less than a ps3 and is it worth it? Or should i just buy another ps3?

First off it has to have wireless KB+Mouse and a blu-ray rom drive.
I already Have a asus H61 mobo with an i3 2100 to go with it. I also have 4gb ram and win7 as well.
I will possibly need a small GFX to output to HDMI as well, as im not sure that mobo has HDMI output im not fussed on big specs just enough to play BD Discs and watch some Youtube, music etc..

So im after:

Case (ATX)
PSU
KB+ Mouse
HDD
Blu-Ray Drive.
GFX If needed.

Whats the lowest price you guys can up with for me? :)

Thanks
Rick.

Thanks for that!

I dont really fancy that 4x BD player much though, but i suppose it could be done cheaply enough.
Its still the best part of £200 though, hhmm i think i need to weigh up the benefits of pc vs ps3 for media then dont i?

I have a media pc. Tried to get decent bluray software that integrated into media pc interface but had all sorts of problems. In the end I buckled and bought a standalone player. Things might have moved on.

Ditto. Gave up trying to get BR to play on my PC.
Got a Sony BDPS4100 to play my BRs, DVDs, DLNA to my server and LoveFilm.
Only cost £69 :D

Thanks guys!
I was just trying to make use of this cpu and mobo i got laying around. Didnt realise Blu-Ray was difficult to set up on pc.
Seems i may just buy a stand alone player then. If its gonna be a headache to sort out.
Il figure something else out for that cpu at a later date.
