Evening
I have only just doscovered blu-ray format (i know, i know)
Media pc for the living room is more than capable
From what i gathered is VLC can play Blu-rays when creating aacs with keys file and replacing .dll
Tried a few and work well but 1 failed to play and mentioned BD+ decoding
Does anyone know how to fix this, perhaps better software out there?
I have tried PowerDVD but its paid only, no trial
Any info or ideas please

Try free Leawo Blu-ray player that supported Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray playback.

Try free DVDFab PlayerFab that supported Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray playback.

I tried both Leawo and DVDFab players worked fine with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Blu-ray disc I tested.

I prefered PowerDVD but shame it too bad PowerDVD latest version dropped 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray support because 11th generation and later Intel CPUs did not have SGX. But however latest Leawo Blu-ray player version 3 and DVDFab PlayerFab now supported 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray playback worked fine on newer Intel and AMD CPUs lacked SGX support without needed older CPUs with SGX (7th, 8th, 9th and 10th generation) to playback 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs.

I would not bothered used VLC with Blu-ray because it was a massive pain trying to get aacs key database and files to work properly with VLC but it not worked most of time after followed instructions.

You could use Xreveal to decrypt AACS on the fly to playback Blu-ray discs on VLC without have BD+ decoding issue.

Try VLC Blu-ray support script patch?

Thank you very much!
Forgot to mention, i have tried Leawo but for some reason audio is quiet. VLC had much more sound, not sure about powerdvd, not paying £50 for it
Every BR i bought is standard 1080p, telly supports up to 4096 x 2160
Running at 3840 x 2160 and assume its upscaled?
Just tried FabPlayer and works well, volume is also spot on, not sure if its free, on 30 day trial. Only problem is some movies BD+ are distorted, unwatchable
