Hi

I didn't know whether to post this here or in the optical storage and writing forum but decided on here as it seems more appropriate.

Anyway, I want a way to play blu-rays from all regions/around the world and at the moment I have a UK PS3 which only plays UK/region B blu-rays. I know that you can get proper region free blu-ray players and such but at the moment I don't own a 'proper' television to view them in all of their glory, I'm just using my PC monitor which is a 19" LG Flatron.

Now, if I buy a blu-ray drive for my PC and I buy the AnyDVD software, am I 100% guaranteed to be able to play blu-rays from all regions? I'm thinking of doing it this way because I will eventually get round to buying a proper TV, and so I can just hook my PC up to the TV when I want to watch a film. I'm assuming my computer spec is more than enough for watching blu-rays:

Intel E2180 dual-core running at 3GHz
2GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2/PC6400 memory (usually about 1.7GB free when my computer is idle at desktop)
GeForce GTX 260 216 core, 896MB
Windows XP 32-bit

So essentially, am I guaranteed to be able to watch blu-rays from all regions if I buy a blu-ray drive for my PC and get AnyDVD, and can my computer 'handle' watching blu-rays?

Thanks.

Stuff a BD drive in your PC, and from what I've read, the only guarantee that you'll have is of getting a headache from having to bugger around with the settings regularly.
Be aware that most BDs are "region free" anyway, the exceptions being from Sony and IIRC Fox.
