hey all
had this problem for a little while so would like to know which is dying, my tv or my 360?
so i use component leads and have been using 1080p since day one. last monthi got blue artifacts over black backgrounds and the hd kept turning off and on. so i step down to 1080i and everthing is fine for a couple of weeks, then it happens again. now im at 720 but wondering how long until it starts again!
so what do you think? tv or 360? my money is on 360 because that would be a lot cheaper!

God knows lol one day it was working, next day I switched it on and it had artifacts everywhere, then it switched itself off and refused to turn on completely and threw up 3 red rings.

Justin Wilkins killed mine in Wales. You'll have to ask him exactly what happened before it died.

Before that I had had a few problems with vertical banding, it was the same error my PS3 had which is why I was pretty quick at sending it back.

well i was getting all geared up to drag the other tv downstairs to test but looking at your comments its the 360. hmmm, time to head down the nearest cash exchange.....
thanks for your input so far everyone.

Are you sure yours wasn't from your GPU overheating and dying then? Mine actually blew, which is a hardware error - which is 1 red LED. Overheating is 3RRoD IIRC.

I think overheating is 2 lights. When i was towel tricking my old premium i did it for too long and got 2 red lights.

well it lives in a cabinet and once i forgot to open the door to it, next thing i know, 360 goes off and two lights come on. opened the door and it was like like standing behind a fighter jet, loud and hot!
shame i dont own an electric blankt though, not that old yet!
