What happens is 2 pals of mine (traders) use me for quick cash when they over spend on stock and things go slower than intended. So i get them for what they stand in.

That Mini was 9k.

I got offered a 2005 997 and an ML63 today, which is ironic because my wife was looking for one of those before she got the Cayenne.

Its one of those cars that wants buying and keeping for 5 years. Good spec too.

111k on a 997, ouch and a tiptronic.
Still it should have had its 4yr major service years ago so you might get lucky. If the tyres and brakes are in good nick you might be alright.

You could also get the warrenty on that as well until it has covered 125,000 Miles.

To get OPC warranty on that would probably cost you 5k in work to be done and the cost of the warranty.

They go over them very strictly 111 point check my arse iv seen them pulling glove boxes out looking for a bulb.

If I hadn't decided to be "sensible" and put all of my money into a house deposit I would have probably been coming to see this! My girlfriend would literally rip my head off if I spent half of our savings on a car. Do you have any pictures of it?

If i see the chap with it tomorrow i will take a couple, it wants a few quid spending but it will be a nice car for someone.

So Jag wise what have you got? From what I've gathered, you've got this XJ (4.0?) and a further XK8?

Did you ever try the XJRs of the similar vintage as your XJ? If so, what was the reason you stuck with the 8?

I got an XJ8 3.2 and an XK8 4.2.

I didnt like the ride of the R's to be honest, i just wanted waft.

Also when i bought these two i wanted the very best condition low mileage examples i could find, as i intend to keep these.

The two i got are no exaggeration, perfect in every way, all new suspension on both, latest timing chains on the 3.2, the other had them already, both 1 owner cars 25k and 50k odd miles, just lovely unmolested in any way.
