Blue light on wii

When the wii is on standby, the blue light around the disc slot keeps flickering which seems strange.
Is this normal as i dont remember it doing it when i first had it

Odd, it should be completely switched off when you have connect24 disabled.. mine only flashes when I have the machine on and I have a new message.

I think there is an option somewhere to have the blue light bright, dim or off. Can't remember where sorry but ours has it disabled.

Wouldn't work unless you'd already emailed the spammer first of all to allow them to be able to email you.

Bit of a pain but I can see why the kid-friendly Nintendo did it.

...although I wonder if it works if you spoof the sender field to suggest it comes from Nintendo but the content was really viagra spam.
