Right this is going to be a bit long because I need to explain it, but I really need some help so bare with me here.
So after having the Asus GTX480 for a while and trying all manner of things to get rid of these blue lines that are appearing at the most random of times, I am at a loss on what is causing it. I remember getting this sporadically before when I had a 4850 in the machine and with a bit of spot cooling on the NB it cleared up, but now it's back with a vengeance.
I have tried reducing voltage to NB, ram, have got spot cooling on both and I have replaced my PSU (nice new Corsair AX850) thinking it was the amp deficit on the 12v rail.
Temps are fine on the GPU and PCB of the 480, and it happens so randomly and at different times I dont know if it's hardware or driver related. It never happens pre gfx driver loading (i.e. in the bios or POST), so it could be that.
I have a video I made to show exactly what type of blue lines Im getting, its incredibly frustrating as nothing seems to be working to fix it. It happens at stock, or overclocked and doesnt seem to affect performance in any way, it just happens and is incredibly annoying.
In that video I have crysis running, and it is windowed. If I fullscreen it the blue lines stop flickering.
This can happen after a few minutes of gameplay, or a couple of hours. It also happens in windows sometimes, just doing random stuff. It normally happens with there is darkness on screen, too.
Any ideas?
