Blue Ray for Mac's

OS X can't play Blu-Ray DVDs yet, (though VLC can, I wonder if anyone has a Blu-Ray disk and a Blu-Ray drive installed on a Mac that could let us know?).

As far as I know, all OS X can do is burn to Blu-Ray as a large storage medium.

As for Blu-Ray drives for the MBP, they do make Blu-Ray drives that would fit in it, but again it would only be useful for storage, not films.

Steve Jobs has been quoted as saying licensing for Blu-Ray is a 'bag of hurt' or something similar.

What about using Windows BootCamp, installing Win7 and then using that to play Blu-Ray's?

What's VLC? I've got a Mac Pro that I could install a Blu-Ray drive into and I'm considering it.

It is a media player. Does all sorts of funky formats including playing .ISOs.

Not really needed if you have no problems with Quicktime + Perian, but I always put it on for those obscure formats.
