I'm trying to install an SSD into an old Shuttle PC and have run into an odd problem installing Win10.

I've created a Win10 install USB drive and set the bios to boot first via USB, yet when I continue I just get a blue screen saying,
A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error code: 0xc000000e

I can't understand what would be causing this. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thank for the reply BaroUK2. Yep there's an old win7 install on the SSD. Surely though it that wouldn't matter since it should be booting from the USB drive first?

Thanks for that @BaroUK2. I think I may have found the issue. My Bios (it is an old mobo) has the following USB boot options, USB-FDD, USB-ZIP or USB-CDROM. I'd naturally set it to FDD thinking that that would still check my usb drive. However I don't think that's the case and therefore it's just ignoring it as you say.

Thanks again @BaroUK2. Yeah I tried all the USB combinations and none worked unfortunately. I ended up shelling out for some blank DVD-R discs so I could burn an ISO of Win 10 and install that way. Worked perfectly. Now I just gotta work out how I can get the old Realtek audio controller to play nicely with Win10!
