Ok i was watching a film on the internet and suddenly POW the BSOD. I have never had it on this computer, and I hadn't done anything out of the ordinary. I tried to get back on but it now BSOD's after the windows logo, and If i try to repair it works for about 1 minute after logging on, and then stops again. Im almost certain this is a software fault because I dual boot, and XP works greats, its just windows 7. Any ideas anyone? or am I just going to have to do a clean wipe, luckily everythings on external HDD's its just all my steam games that will take the **** to download again...

So you have tried a startup repair from the Windows 7 disk? Perhaps try a system restore before resorting to a clean install again.

It might be that there is a bad sector where the Win7 loader is located. I would try running a CHKDSK /r first then find out what manufacturer of HDD you have. When you have this information, head off to their website and downloaded their disk diagnostic tools. This is normally a boot disk. This will verify if the HDD has developed a fault. Once you have eliminated the HDD you can look at the installation.
