Blue screen atikmpag.sys

I just had blue screen and using the nirsoft crash dump reader i can determine that it was the atikmpag.sys which is basically the graphics card crashed.

I have a 7850. I have google the atikmpag.sys and it seems it is quite a common problem. Some people suggest that it is the beta drivers that cause it, one guy said that he upped his voltage and that solved it.

Based on the finalwire aida my voltage for GPU is 0.825, i read that 1.25 is the max recommended. Do you think i should increase the voltage and to what amount?

Don't also rule out ram, give your ram a test with memtest86.

I had that with an old 5850. Ended up being faulty fixing it by upping the voltage

I see now the card goes from 0.825 at 300mhz to 1.21 at 900mhz. I tried setting the low voltage to 1 with msi afterburner but it did not see to take. I leave it for now and see if it happens again.

Some cards don't adjust with Afterburner. Try Sapphire Trixx instead, it has better voltage control and more flexibility.

Btw the low voltage on your GPU is idle voltage, when you put it under load it will go up.
