Blue screen, forcing restart

Hi,
You guys helped me a lot on my own problems

Wonder if could be done again.

We have a Dell laptop which is contantly going to the blue screen demanding a restart and reccomending the bios shadows are checked. with a massive long error message.

System restores dont work, disk check says the drive is dirty and trys to fix and delete loads of stuff, when windows xp resarts back up it says error message cant be sent to microsoft as disk cant be read

Its just recommended in the error mesage what to change in the bios, have you tried doing what it suggested since you failed to mention that already.

Failing that you could try resetting the bios, but do at your own risk.

It has a 3 year service agreement, if a factory restart is not fixing the issue should dell fix it? they keep saying they dont do software

If the bios is incorrectly setup, which the error message does suggest, the using a restore disk of course is not going to make the difference, the bios is still wrong.

Fix the settings the message pointed to first, then look at other areas for the problem....
