I've been getting this blue screen up these last few days now and then what can cause this. I was wondering if it's my overclock but if it is why is it only effecting my PC now I've been using the my AMD64 [email protected] fine for months.

WatchTower:

Microsoft Support lists 6 possible causes for this error.

aumha.org reports it as:

This is a hardware issue: an unrecoverable hardware error has occurred. The parameters have different meanings depending on what type of CPU you have but, while diagnostic, rarely lead to a clear solution. Most commonly it results from overheating, from failed hardware (RAM, CPU, hardware bus, power supply, etc.), or from pushing hardware beyond its capabilities (e.g., overclocking a CPU)

- Overheating memorysticks
- Overheating CPU
- CPU clocked too far in combination with the above
- Too little VCore (if it isn't CPU overheating)

I don't notice an drop in performance and normaly in the past with older PCs I've owned I have notice a good drop in performance when things get to hot.

My AMD64 3200+ is clocked to 2.7Ghz and I have my Vcore at 1.45. Does that seem low for such an overclock?

That depends on the CPU but it does seem a little low, my San Diego 3700+ needs 1.525V to run stable at 2700Mhz and that has a degault voltage of 1.35V

Hi there i have been getting these errors the past few days too with different error names just blue screens all the time usually when i'm installing windows i memtested by ram and it's shot to bits lol only had it like 3 weeks! rma for g.skill lol
*note - the system was run at stock when i was getting these blue screens so it's definately not my cpu overheating or clocked too far!

prime is a crap method of testing cpu. many a time i have had cpus prime stable at high speeds only to crash in under 3 mins of testing at the same speed using SNM. snm is the preffered cpu testing utility on the XS forums. and those guys over at XS know what they are on about.

my old xp-m2600 was prime stable 22 hours at 2.6ghz at 1.85v but snm crashed it in under 3 mins. snm puts a higher load on the cpu because it is a utility designed from the ground up to test cpu stability where prime has been designed to just hunt for prime numbers.
