Blue Screen of Death upon RE-Install

Hi,

I'm trying to install XP professional on my girlfriends laptop and it keeps either stalling or Blue screening with a BUCODE_USB_DRIVER error message on.

Now i understand this is due to my hardrives using a usb 2.0 connection but i don't know what to do?

I cant re-install but also cant repair the old OS as ive Formatted the Hard drive (3 Times once a full Slow format)..

any thoughts??

You using anything else thats USB on there? Wwouldn't have thought its a HD problem.. Might be a memory problem?
