Hey guys,

So I came home from school yesterday and turned my PC on, only to be greeted by a BSOD upon reaching the Vista load bar. I tried to run with last known good config and it does the same. So then I thought it was time to try loading into safe mode to see what was what. But that was a no go. Each different type of safe mode all load to crcdisc.sys and then freeze, five seconds later, the pc reboots.

I'm not quite sure what is causing this issue. Only problem is, I have misplaced my windows disc so I'm not sure what I can do apart from take this opportunity to upgrade to 7?

Any help on ways I can fix this please.

Thanks

any chance u can slave it into another machine?

then u could a) pull of your data and reload

or b) run a manual system restore within windows

Google manual system restore, - Plug the drive into another machine as a secondary drive or use one of those USB cables to plug into a laptop or Pc etc .

Otherwise ask a friend to download like a checkdisk onto CD and run that by hitting f12 (normally) and run a repair. may fix it./

Nope, no overclock at all. Only thing I did notice is that it was a restart from Windows Update that caused my computer to be off in the first place.

Try buying a Hardrive bay and pop your hardrive in that and then check in on another pc?
You can get one here for about £15 I think.
P.S.
is your drive sata or IDE?
