Hi

For the last few days I have been suffering from blue screen about 20 second after logging on to windows
Here a screen shot of the blue screen

Sorry about the fussy photo just of my phone
I have just ran a memory tests using memtest86 from the Ultimate Boot CD and have got this resulted
photo1.jpg

This was with two sticks of ram in the computer, the make is OCZ Gold Edition 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Series (OCZ2G8004GK)

What I am wanting to know is what the next step, do i take one stick out and re run the test then try the other, and see which one is the problem, and how would i go about getting it replaced but i did by it back in September 08
Thx

Don't worry about testing individually, as it will be returned as a kit anyway. Submit an rma here detailing and including the memtest failure.

Have you checked ram voltage and timings are correct, just in case. tbh if the system has been running as currently configured I wouldn't bother and just start the rma.

Hi again,
So i have sent OCZ a message and they have responded asking for some information, although I’m not sure about what they mean or how to get all of it
2) The OCZ Part # (starting with OCZ…) (OCZ2G8004GK) i think this right bit as I copied of the invoice
- DRAM voltage as tested 1.888v i got this information from the bio under ddrv so I’m guessing that right
- Memory timings used 800 800 I’m really unsure about his is that the right timing or do in need more and where would I find this in the bios
- Motherboard model (with chipset and BIOS version) Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard this is just what I copied from the invoice but where would i find the chip set and is the bios “mxic 25l8005” or should it say somewhere
- CPU model Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 LGA775 'Wolfdale' 2.53GHz (1066FSB) - Retail guess this is right

4) RMA facility you prefer: USA (California), Canada, The Netherlands, or Taiwan.
And which would be the cheapest to send to I’m guessing Netherlands as they are the nearest

Thx

Part number quoted looks OK.

DRAM voltage is whatever it says in the BIOS so 1.888V.

Memory timings are 6-6-6-18 according to your screenshot.

Motherboard model is as you've stated.

Chipset is P35.

BIOS version on that board will somewhere between F1 and F9. Have a look in the BIOS for which version. Or dowload CPU-Z and it might tell you the BIOS version (if you can get it to run).

CPU model is as you've stated.

I would say the Netherlands is the cheapest delivery cost.
