Blue screen woes

Ok so around november i decided to build myself a new system as the old one was runing a little slow and was having trouble keeping up with some of the newer games being released.

So i got some help speccing a machine and had numerous problems with that (turned out to be faulty ram), so anyway that got returned and replaced with something different but sadly that wasnt the end of the problems

ill try and provide as much info as i can on everything that this machine is comprised of
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj101/NaylH/build.jpg
the new Ram: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-196-CS

running windows 7 64 bit

As a screen im using a fairly old viewsonic n2060w tv
keyboard and mouse were http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/766884

ok so i cant see ive missed anything there so heres the list of stop error codes that ive ran into in the past few months
0x000000116
0x000000fc
0x0000001e
0x0000001a
0x000000fe
0x000000d1
0x0000001d
0x000000A

ok so 1st stop was to goggle the errors and look for causes and solutions on microsofts knowledge base and if not there my old pal google

everything i found seemed to point to yet more faulty ram (despite me aquiring a new pair of sticks after the previous ram was faulty)
So i poped in memtest which after 15 passes on each stick individualy and another 10 or 11 on both of them and getting 0 errors i ran windows on memory diagnostics tool which also couldnt find anything wrong with the new ram.

each time the machine has crashed i have been greeted upon reboot with "windows has recoevered from a serious error if a solution to the problems is avaiable you will be informed"
and then behold about a week ago i get a system message
adress a problem with your ATi graphics driver so go through the steps to resolve the problem.
I click update driver and windows tells me i have the most recent version
so just to make sure i download the newest catalyst suite from ati and manualy install it and the problems are still persisting

Some times im not even lucky enough to get a stop error
when the machine crashes it will do one of 3 things
it will lock up and i will be looking as what was the last image the screen was displaying but wont be able to move the mouse or use the keyboard and am forced to press the reset button

the display will lock up and instead of seeing an image on screen
i will get something like this
http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/gizmodo/2009/09/Glitch1.jpg
and the sound will glitch as well leaving me with a noise which i can only describe as a "gameshow buzzer" this sound will persist until i press the reset button

the 3rd is almost identical to the one above with the exception that the machine will recognise the error and present me with the blue screen.

These freezes seem to be at random times and i cant pinpoint what is causing them

they have happened to me when(but not only when)
im playing a game (fullscreen or windowed)
browsing the internet
watching a movie
its even happened when the machine is idle

its not an uncommon occurance either some days i have had to reboot the machine up to 20 times

If anyone can think of anything anything at all to aid me to finding a solution i would be extreemly grateful.

A much better place for help with this kind of thing is Tech Support Forums..
http://www.techsupportforum.com/microsoft-support/windows-vista-windows-7-support/
Make sure you follow the instructions in the sticky for resolving BSoD problems. They need all the files to take a decent look. The guys are on it most days US time and were extremely helpful when I was plagued with BSoDs.. Really good guys..

Sounds like a faulty GFX mate.

Can you check the event log, might give a bit more information on what's going on.

Is it the latest ATI drivers? either way, try reinstalling them

Could also be a temp issue but if it's a new build thats not overly likely, especially in a Antec 900. Could also be power issue but again, the Corsairs are good PSU and that is plenty of wattage.

faulty gfx card sounds possible
what really confused me was windows telling me to (and i quote) "adress a problems with you ATi display driver"

this to me says windows has found the cause of the problem and i can now fix it
so i follow thier guide to update the drivers and im told i have the latest version already

so to make sure i uninstall the whole catalyst control suite, drivers everything related to my card and go and download the most recent suite from ATi and install that
this doesnt fix the problem as im still getting stop errors and im also still getting "glitchy screens"

ive also tried removing the card and reseating it just incase

playing dragonage at max settings resulted
GPU temp 59
GPU temp(DISPIO) 56.5
GPU temp(MEMIO) 69
GPU temp(SHADERCORE) 63

Those temps look fine. I'd say it is probably the card itself that is faulty, do you have another machine/GFX that you can test with?

Glitchy screens and driver errors does sound like a faulty card, as above I'd try it in another machine if possible. If not possible just RMA it. If it's out of warranty, then you could try baking the card to fix it.

Ive been onto the tech support forums as advised and been told to my frustrations try this try that try these

all with no success, every new reply i get to the post seems to be asking me to do something else to see if it works

memtests
hard disk diagnostics
removing antivirus
updating drivers
updating the bios
rolling back drivers

but by far my personal favourite is the latest

"It is now time to test the OS source itself. I would like for you to wipe the entire hard drive with KillDisk, then install the 90-day trial version of Windows 7 Professional"

Now im not sure if i mentioned it in this thread but i had a weeks worth of problems just trying to install the OS i have atm and now im being asked to go back there.

If on the otherhand i do this and i manage to get it to work and i get win7 PRO working what do i do then when the 90 day trial runs out what do i do about a "faulty windows 7 disc" can i even RMA that.
